Investigating the FANG Center Outpost
To begin the mission, you must make your way to the old church located just a short distance from Prosperity. Upon arrival, you will likely encounter a small group of Highwaymen patrolling the surrounding perimeter. It is best to eliminate these guards silently to prevent a larger chaotic shootout from unfolding early on.
Once the initial area is completely clear, head toward the caged section next to the church building. You will locate a green container nearby holding Wade's Journal, which provides the crucial context needed to progress. Reading this entry updates your map guidelines and reveals the unique mechanics of the puzzle ahead.
Summoning the Crypt Key Holder
After acquiring the journal details, locate a path leading up onto the roof of the church. Climb up to the makeshift bell tower where you will spot a large hanging church bell. Your main objective here is to ring this bell repeatedly by shooting or hitting it directly.
Ringing the bell triggers a loud noise that immediately summons a massive, aggressive bear from the nearby woods. Prepare your high-damage firearms before making any noise, as this predator will quickly track you down. You must defeat the creature and loot its body to acquire the Fowler's Crypt Key.
Unlocking the Hidden Prepper Bunker
With the crypt key safely in your inventory, look toward the southwestern side of the churchyard property. You will easily spot a large, obvious hole dug straight down into the dirt ground. Carefully drop into this cavernous area to find a locked steel vault door waiting at the bottom.
Use your newly acquired key to open the doorway and step inside the underground prepper stash. This protected room contains three perk point magazines, a collection of Far Cry coins, and essential crafting materials.
